Summary:Jales Mine is a typical case of mineral exploitation worked out for decades without environmental cares. Official authorities wish to minimise this problem. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze this situation with the support of several studies emphasising lithology and tectonics, hydrogeological units, surface water, groundwater and modelling of the flow in this fractured medium.
